The United Furniture Workers Insurance fund was established in 1944. The idea was formulated to provide health insurance benefits for Union members at an affordable cost to protect the workers against the hazards of sickness, accident and death.
The Fund is a multi-employer defined benefit pension plan providing monthly pension to UFW/CWA members throughout the country. Vested participants who begin receiving a monthly pension from the Fund will continue to receive that monthly pension for life.
